Ko Samui- located off the coast towards the southeastern side of the mainland this island is one that one should not miss out on. Nakhon Pathom- this is the oldest city of the country and is located towards the western part of the capital city. One of the must see and visit site here would be the Pra Pathom Chedi which is the tallest monument of the world in terms of Buddhist architectural wonders. This orange tiled monument stands at a staggering height of 417 feet and is built upon a dome that was erected in the 16th century by the Buddhists of Theravada sect.
