Land of Smiles, Bangkok is one of the major tourist destinations across the globe and it has much more things to offer for its visitors from the historic monuments to a whole lot of shopping. While in this place, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of both nature and artificiality.

With large number of shopping options, Bangkok is like an addiction center for shoppers. After shopping and historic monuments, it is famed for the pub and discos which illuminates the corners of the cities and streets in an exotic way. Tasting the lip smacking delicacies at the streets is fun at times.

How to Reach: Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang are the two airports of Bangkok. The first one is ritzy blessed with all modern amenities and also some duty free goods. With the venture of Lower Cost carriers and Air Asia, in current time a returning fare to Bangkok is little more than a trip to Mumbai from Delhi. Taxis are available from the airport to reach any desired destination; the taxis in here are run by meter system so you won’t be cheated in any way.
(Note) Once you land in Bangkok, pick up a prepaid connection of DTAC for calling your friends, family or girlfriends whenever needed. You will be charged 100 Baht for activation and full talk time for every 100 Baht recharge.

Climate: Lying at an altitude of just about 7 feet from the sea level, Bangkok possesses a tropical wet and dry climate with excess humidity. May to September is the rainy season, but are equally enjoyable and agreeable particularly during striking tours of Canal. Other than this, the climatic condition doesn’t vary too much and is almost equable throughout the year making it visitable all year round.
History: Currently ranked at world’s 17th tallest city with 1000 sky scrapers, Bangkok was a small port community and a trading center at past before the establishment of the Ayutthaya Kingdom which existed for 417 years from 1350 to 1767. And year by year, Thailand progressed itself from a small fruit bearing city (olive like fruits) located on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River to a hustling and bustling metro that has a total of six provinces. As the population grew, the city expanded and thus the development happened.

Accommodation: Bangkok has a wide array of options for all types of travelers. With countless numbers of hotels, budget traveler to medium range traveler to luxurious traveler can spend their holiday peacefully in the heavily amenized hotels of Bangkok.

Food: For a non-veggie who would like to taste lip smacking and tongue tingling food, Bangkok luxurious cafes or the street foods can be the best option. One must try the palm oil cooked food, chicken noodle soup, fried fish, Thai Tom Yum Goong soup, Shrimp soup and the spicy lemongrass soup in the street stalls. Unlike, India the stalls provide fresh and satiating foods. It has not much to offer for the veggies but in today’s time there are lots of options for veggies too.
